Generic Voltaren Emulgel (Diclofenac sodium) is a topical cream that administers relief of pain and inflammation in the muscles and body. Generic Voltaren Emulgel contains the active ingredients diclofenac, and is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic treatment. Generic Voltaren Emulgel is often used to treat aches, pains and discomfort in the back, neck, shoulder and muscles. Generic Voltaren Emulgel can also be used to treat swelling in the muscles, tendons, joints and ligaments caused by strains, bruises, sprains, localized rheumatic conditions, soft tissue rheumatism, or common sports injuries. Generic Voltaren Emulgel is for external use only. Do not ingest this medication.
How to take
Rub Generic Voltaren Emulgel onto the affected area of the skin. Repeat application throughout the day if necessary. Do not exceed 2 – 3 applications daily, unless advised otherwise by a doctor.
Always read the ingredients before taking this or any other medication to ensure that there are no elements that may elicit an allergic reaction. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following side-effects associated with an allergic reaction: hives, shortness of breath, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face.
Generic Voltaren Emulgel is made for external use only. Do not apply Generic Voltaren Emulgel onto open wounds or any skin abrasions. Do not cover affected areas with a band aid or tight fitting clothing after applying this cream. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
If you have chronic asthma, contact your doctor before taking this medication.
Contact your doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve within 2 weeks.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or plan on becoming pregnant before using Generic Voltaren Emulgel.
